Awesome Homemade Shoe Storage

What a great idea. Creative interior ideas don't have to come off the back of huge budgets.

This shoe storage rack is made from everyday construction pipes, and is simply strapped together to create its 'honeycomb' structure. Getting creative in your own home can be a great way of making positive changes to your interior on a budget. Money aside, creating your own furniture, storage and decorations is extremely rewarding. If you create the things which surround you in your home, it will create a sense of ownership and attachment. Also, bragging rights.

If  I had one complaint about this shoe rack, and unfortunately it is a big mistake, it would be this: WHAT KIND OF NUMBSKULL MAKES A SHOE STORAGE RACK WITH AN ODD NUMBER OF STORAGE HOLES. There is room in this rack for 13.5 pairs of shoes. Surely this would be one of the first things you would consider when making a storage space for an item of clothing which exclusively comes in pairs.

I'll let it go though. It's bad to hold grudges. Despite that one glaring design flaw this is a great example of how you can create your own home storage with minimal effort and cost. Contemporary interior design is as much about expressing yourself  as it is adding to the aesthetic value of your home. The only way to achieve both of those is to appreciate and care about every single detail within your home.
