Contemporary Design - Amazing Swedish House Boat!
Posted by Alex Greenan on 7th Mar 2013
At first glance, this is simply a beautiful and light contemporary interior. However, look closer and you will see that something is fishy about this interior (sorry!). Above the beautiful wooden floorboards, you'll see port hole windows. If that isn't enough of a clue, you can see the majestic wooden carcass hanging from the ceiling. What you are looking at, is a very stylish house boat.
Who says a house boat has to be decorated with miniature anchors and copies of Moby Dick? In typically Swedish style, the house is simple, light and homely. Many people's definition of homely is 'put tiny trinkets and ornaments LITERALLY EVERYWHERE'. Thankfully, the Swedish take a slight more relaxed and minimalist stance on 'homely'.
Imagine waking up in this bedroom every morning! At the stern of the house boat, is this amazing bedroom. Imagine looking out of your window in the morning and seeing, potentially, the country of your choice! You're probably better off staying in one place if you want those lovely cushions to stay where they are though.
