Curved Floorboards? Let me get this straight...

In my travels across the internet, I stumbled upon this quirky idea which is, predictably, from the Netherlands! I found this flooring exceptionally interesting, so I had a look at their site to find out more. Dutch flooring brand, Bolefloor have created these quirky and rustic curved floorboards, ignoring 'the norm' when it comes to flooring.
Bolefloor describe their flooring as a 'return to a natural state'. The flooring certainly does have a natural feel to it, but the precision and accuracy with which it joins is incredible. You can see in the video below (which has some very interesting music..) the kind of high-tech tools it takes to make something like this.
Another thing which drew me towards this brand was seeing that they are FSC certified. Our contemporary teak furniture range from Ethnicraft is FSC certified, so Bolefloor aligns quite nicely with the 4 living philosophy. The same refreshing European take on contemporary design is clearly visible in both Bolefloor and Ethnicraft.
In many ways it's a shame that such innovative ideas don't come from the UK, but it's not exactly far to Belgium or Holland!
